Real Bride Story: Giulia & Jamie’s Intimate Celebration in Margate

We’re so excited to share the story of our beautiful Chilham Bride, Giulia, who found her dream dress with us and celebrated her wedding her way- intimate, heartfelt, and completely unforgettable in Margate.

When it came to planning their wedding, Giulia and Jamie knew one thing for certain- a traditional day simply wasn’t for them. They wanted to celebrate their love their way, with no rules, no expectations, and no pressure to follow convention. What unfolded was a day filled with intimacy, emotion, laughter, and music- a celebration that was unmistakably ‘them’.

Their afternoon ceremony at Ramsgate Registry Office was simple yet full of meaning. Giulia walked down the aisle to Elvis’ The Wonder of You, setting a beautifully heartfelt tone for the day. When Jamie read a poem he’d written for his bride, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room- and just as he finished, the clouds parted and the sun broke through, as if on cue.

With just 25 of their closest family and friends, many having travelled from across the world, the couple truly had time to connect with every guest.

After the ceremony, they took relaxed seaside photos around Margate, including the Lido and Turner Contemporary, capturing the wind, waves and pure joy of the moment.

No wedding car, no formality. Just the couple, their love, and their talented photographer and videographer, Tom Cawdron and Vicky Stamford, who beautifully captured every real, unscripted moment.

The evening celebrations at The Albion Rooms, Margate were everything Giulia and Jamie had dreamed of. Together with Imogen, the venue’s manager, Giulia created a setting that was effortlessly personal and relaxed. Live acoustic music filled the garden, and guests enjoyed laughter, pizza, and dancing long into the night.

Finding ‘The One’ at Chilham Bridal

Giulia admits she arrived at Bridal Boutique at Chilham convinced she wouldn’t find the one.

“I had tried on dresses before, and none of them felt like me. They were all too traditional, too much of what I didn’t want. I was looking for something unique- something breathtaking.”

But from the moment she stepped into the boutique, the experience was completely different.

“Every dress I tried on fit like a glove. Each one was unique, and choosing was so hard because they all fit my vision perfectly.”

Then came the surprise. The dress she almost didn’t try on.

“It was sparkly, and I thought that wasn’t me. But as soon as I put it on, I fell in love. It was unlike anything I’d ever seen. Completely, undeniably me. I’m so glad I trusted Carly’s experience and intuition; she knew what I needed even before I did.”

Giulia chose a stunning dress by Cizzy Bridal. A gown which combines elegant vintage charm with contemporary glamour. Its unique nude base is overlaid with a bold ivory sequin graphic pattern- giving a beautiful shimmer in the light. The look was completed with a dramatic long veil and matching soft tulle overskirt, which was removable, allowing Giulia to effortlessly transform her style from day to night.

Giulia looked absolutely breathtaking. A modern bride with timeless grace.
