Real Bride Story: Leone & Steve- A Joyful June Wedding
An intimate celebration of love, family, and music at The Barn, Tunbridge Wells.
On 8th June 2025, our wonderful Chilham Bride, Leone, married her love, Steve, at the stunning The Barn, Tunbridge Wells. Their day was intimate, heartfelt, and full of joy- celebrated with their closest family and oldest friends.

A Family-Filled Celebration

Leone’s two daughters proudly stood by her side as her ‘best women,’ while Steve’s brother David took on the role of best man. The couple’s grandchildren made the sweetest flower girls, and little Teddy looked very dapper in his coordinating outfit!

One of the most moving moments came when Leone’s sister Julia gave a heartfelt speech on behalf of their late father- a touching reminder of the love and presence of those who could not be there in person.

The day was filled with happiness from start to finish. The weather stayed dry, giving the couple and their guests plenty of time to enjoy the celebrations. Entertainment came from the talented singer Jennah, who performed three sets across the afternoon and evening alongside the DJ. Adding to the magic, Steve even took to the microphone to sing a few of his favourites- a memorable moment for all!
The Venue: The Barn, Tunbridge Wells
Set in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, The Barn is a beautiful gastropub and restaurant combining rustic charm with modern touches. With its characterful beams, cosy atmosphere, and picture-perfect backdrops, it was the ideal setting for Leone and Steve’s relaxed and intimate wedding day. The space offered just the right balance of warmth and elegance, perfectly reflecting the couple’s vision for their celebration.

Leone’s gown was elegant, timeless, and suited her perfectly- she looked an absolute dream. She told us about her bridal shopping experience at Chilham Bridal…
“I absolutely loved my experience at Chilham Bridal with Carly. Being a more mature bride, I didn’t want to go to the usual type of bridal shop as I felt self-conscious. Carly put me at my ease and I ended up with the first dress I tried on- in fact, the one Carly had picked out for me!”
It was such a joy to meet Leone- she’s a truly beautiful lady inside and out, and we feel so privileged to have played a small part in her special day.
