A Decade of Bridal Dreams: Celebrating 10 Years with a Magical Reunion

We wanted to go big to mark this huge milestone- a decade of bridal excellence. In this bridal industry first, we welcomed back real Chilham Brides for an unforgettable day to celebrate 10 years of Bridal Boutique at Chilham.

Nestled in the heart of Kent, Bridal Boutique of Chilham opened its doors on August 3, 2014, with a unique vision: to offer brides a luxury boutique experience with an affordable, sustainable twist. Founder Carly Sked recognized a gap in the bridal market for high-quality, affordable wedding dresses coupled with exceptional customer service and beautiful surroundings. As sustainability became more important to modern brides, the concept of Chilham Bridal came to life, offering both off-the-peg ex-sample and pe-loved designer wedding dresses.

Carly shares, “We carefully select dresses for the boutique with the finest fabrics, beautiful cuts, and exquisite details. Brides can find gowns they may have thought out of reach—without stretching their budget You can really elevate your options with an off-the-peg dress.”

In honour of 10 years of making bridal dreams come true, Chilham Bridal celebrated in style by inviting 10 of their past brides for an unforgettable photo shoot. Carly had dreamed for years of reuniting some of her brides, and this milestone provided the perfect occasion.

“As a small, independent business, reaching our 10-year anniversary means everything to us,” Carly shared. “It’s been amazing seeing this day come to life.”

The Chilham Brides gathered at The Pretty Prep in Ashford, where a team of bridal makeup artists and hairstylists recreated each bride’s wedding day look.

The brides were dressed in their beloved gowns and arrived at the boutique in a vintage 1969 VW campervan, ready for an afternoon of photos and fun.

The shoot was filled with laughter, cake, balloons, and confetti as the brides celebrated their gowns, their memories and each other. One bride commented, “It was amazing to wear my dress again and get to know such an inspiring group of women.”

The joyful celebration was not only a tribute to the boutique’s 10 years but also to the beautiful, individual love stories of each bride. With confetti filling the air, the event concluded on a magical note, capturing the essence of what Chilham Bridal has stood for over the past decade- joy and memories to last a lifetime.
